“1/4 chubz - formed in 2012, by Callum, John, and Stuart after a drunken party.The local music scene had become a clique, that needed some fresh energy. They set about learning their instruments and writing raw energetic indie/punk tunes that were admittedly rough around the edges, but delivered them with an underdog mentality. Andrew joined later on lead guitar which improved the bands sound. The early days were a riot...full of drink, drugs and punch ups. Progressing onto record a demo in 2013, which was championed by Kingdom Cuts and a run of gigs around Scotland. Thereafter things fell apart for various reasons

Six years later, Chubz frontman and main songwriter, Callum, sadly took his own life. A day that hit the rest of the band very hard. After Stuart and John met up for the first time in years, at Callum’s funeral, they started jamming again and set about writing a song for Callum, which became Until We Meet Again feat Mariam Amhaz on violin. Now with their own record label, Whanga Records, (named after Callums Mauri background), they are writing and recording their debut EP with Birrell or Biscuit at Whanga Records headquarters, bang in the middle of Dunfermline town centre.”
